ARGON

A systematic equity programme developed by AxiomCapital OÜ.

A long-biased long/short programme in liquid U.S. equities. Every decision uses only information that was available at the time it was made, and no order reaches the market without passing pre-trade risk controls.

Approach

Forecasts, converted into a portfolio under constraints.

Argon converts systematic forecasts into a diversified long/short equity portfolio under predefined exposure, concentration and trading-cost constraints. Portfolio risk is controlled systematically and may be reduced when market conditions deteriorate.

Controls

Three controls that always apply.

Not intentions — controls enforced systematically, in the same process that produces the orders.

  • Exposure and concentration limits are enforced systematically. Portfolio construction operates within predefined risk limits that cannot be bypassed by the forecasting model.
  • Trades cannot bypass pre-trade risk controls. Every proposed order must pass the applicable risk checks before submission.
  • Incomplete or ambiguous inputs stop the process. The programme fails closed rather than proceeding on an assumption.

  1. Research is point-in-time

Decisions are evaluated using only the information available on the date being traded. Results are not flattered by data that arrived afterwards.

  2. Risk is managed at portfolio level

Exposure and concentration are controlled across the whole book, not position by position.

  3. Security selection is systematic

There is no discretionary stock picking at any stage of the process.

Measurement

Results are decomposed, not summarised.

Performance is measured after costs and reported alongside what produced it, so it is clear whether a return came from the programme itself, from general market exposure, or from what execution cost.

Return basisAfter costs, compounded
BenchmarkA broad U.S. large-cap equity index, with return above the benchmark shown separately from market exposure
DrawdownPeak-to-trough decline, reported alongside the return
CostsTrading costs itemised rather than absorbed into the return figure
Simulated, paper and liveMaintained as separate series. Never combined into one track.

Programme status — Pre-paper Status as of September 2026

Argon is currently in development ahead of formal paper validation. Paper validation has not yet begun, no capital is being traded and no live investment track record exists. Simulated, paper and any future live proprietary-capital results will be maintained as separate series.
